Outreach & Community Department
The Outreach & Community Department exists to create pathways from first contact to church connection.
Through outreach initiatives, we help churches engage spiritually curious young people. Through community initiatives, we create welcoming environments where relationships can develop and faith conversations can grow.
Together, these functions help move people from curiosity to community and ultimately into discipleship.
About the Role
The Community Co-Lead will develop welcoming and repeatable community environments that help Gen Z build relationships, explore faith and connect into church community.
Key Responsibilities
Design and improve community event formats.
Create event models and resources.
Support ambassadors and hosts.
Improve attendee experience and follow-up processes.
Gather participant feedback and insights.
Strengthen pathways into church and discipleship.
Support churches in developing community initiatives.
About You
Essential
Passion for hospitality and community.
Strong relational skills.
Creative and people-focused mindset.
Good organisation, teamwork, listening and communication skills.
Desire to see young people connected into church.
Desirable
Experience organising events.
Experience leading teams or volunteers.
Understanding of community building and discipleship.
Time Commitment
Approximately 5–7 hours per week.
