Statement of faith.
-
THE TRINITY
We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the one true God who lives eternally in three persons.
-
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ – born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human, yet without sin. He died on the cross and rose again for our salvation and justification. He’s now ascended, seated at the right hand of the Father and is the only Saviour and Mediator for all humankind.
-
SCRIPTURE
We believe in the divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, which are the written Word of God – fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.
-
THE CHURCH
We believe the Church is the body and Bride of Christ, called to unity, mission, and discipleship, endowed with the gifts of the Spirit to reveal Christ to the world.
-
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.
-
THE SECOND COMING
The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
What do we believe about Church Unity?
Preserving truth, pursuing unity, exalting Christ
The Church is a unified gathering around one throne. When we come to worship the Lord, we join a heavenly service that continues for eternity. Unity is not uniformity — we are not aligned because we share the same background, but because we share the same first love: Jesus. Around the cross of Christ crucified and the throne of Christ glorified, we find our true connection point. In Him, every wall of division is broken, and the Church becomes a living testimony of His reconciling power.
We welcome all who have experienced the grace of new birth as brothers and sisters in Christ. Together, we pursue a unity rooted in truth and expressed through love and obedience to God’s Word. We honour the diversity of culture, tradition, and biblical expression that God has gifted His people with, recognising that differences in non-essential matters will remain until Christ returns. Yet, we will never allow these differences to dilute Biblical truth or overshadow our shared confession of faith in Jesus and our collective mission to make Him known.
Our approach to unity is both spiritual and practical. We aim to broaden the Church’s understanding of Christ and His purposes by listening to voices across denominations and traditions with humility. As we learn from one another, we see that we are more aligned than divided, and we strive toward a deeper fellowship marked by humility, trust, and mutual encouragement. Jesus Himself declared that the world would know Him through the unity of His followers (John 17:22–23). Division weakens our witness; our impact lies in our unity. Therefore, we commit to partnering with the Holy Spirit to maintain the unity He has already given to the Church, speaking the truth in love and demonstrating Christlike grace in all things.
At the cross, we are one family — His bride before anything else. As we are transformed into Christ’s image, it must be evident that the Spirit within us speaks louder than our differences. Our pursuit of unity is not merely organisational, but an act of exalting Christ together as one body, so that the world may believe.
