Romans 11:1–5
Romans 11:1–5 (NKJV)

1I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

2God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying,

3“Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life”?

4But what does the divine response say to him? “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”

5Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

2 Peter 3:9
2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)

9The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Psalm 24:6
Psalm 24:6 (NKJV)

6This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah

Devotional 📖

For many years, Gen Z has been brushed to the side as the "lost" generation and God has been showing us just how wrong we were!

In 2018, a tearfund study shows us that 4% of 18-24 year olds were going to church. Now in 2025, 16% are. That’s hundreds of thousands more young people coming to church in England and Wales! The Spirit is moving among generation Z like never before. More people are coming to Christ, walking in to any Church and asking questions about who God is. The Lord has given the Church an amazing window to speak to what is clearly rising in the hearts of Generation Z, a desire to know something bigger and greater than them.

Gen Z is a seeker generation. They have witnessed the world shut down because of a virus, governments crumble and fall, their environment burning up and countless wars, and this, for most of them, has happened all before they’ve turned 25.

Society has lied to them, politics has lied to them, their community has lied to them. The rise of social media and misinformation has bombarded them with false ideas of "living their truth". The enemy has deceived them away from the way, the truth, and the life, Jesus, but they are waking up and realising that ‘their truth’ hasn’t been strong enough to bring them out of the darkness of their situations. This seeker generation is desperate to know the truth and the Church has the opportunity to reveal who He is. It's our responsibility to reveal Jesus to them His way. He is the Truth they are looking for.

When revealing Jesus to Gen Z, we have to consider three things:

  1. Authenticity

  2. Identity

  3. Purpose

Over the course of this bible study plan, we’ll be unpacking these three things in more detail and how it will aid us in revealing Jesus to a ‘lost’ generation.

Prayer 🙏

Lord, we know that you draw all men to yourself. Would you draw generation Z to know, love and follow Jesus. Holy Spirit, help me to reveal Jesus to this generation. Give me boldness to speak truth in this age of deception. Help me to shine your light wherever I go.

I love you Lord.

In Jesus name,

Amen.
